Most people rent a dumpster once or twice in their life, usually in the middle of something stressful: a renovation, a move, a parent's house that has to be emptied. You should not have to learn the waste business to get it done.
So we keep it simple. You tell us what you are throwing away and where the container can sit. We tell you the size that fits, the price, and what is included. Then we show up when we said we would. That is the whole business.
We are a small Silver Spring company, not a national broker taking a cut and passing your order to whoever is available. The person who answers your call knows the streets, the trucks, and the schedule. We also speak Spanish, so if that is easier for you or your crew, just ask.

Picking a size without overthinking it
A 10 yard handles a single bathroom gut, a small deck, or a garage that has gotten out of hand. The 15 and 20 yard are the ones we deliver most to homeowners: kitchen remodels, flooring for a whole level, a basement cleanout before a sale. The 25 and 30 yard are for whole-house cleanouts, additions, roof tear-offs on larger homes, and contractor work.
Two things matter more than volume. The first is weight. Plaster, tile, roofing shingles, and wet wood get heavy fast, and every size comes with a weight allowance. The second is the height of the walls. A 10 yard is only 3 feet tall, so you can lift things over the side. A 30 yard is 6 feet tall, and you will be walking things in through the rear door.
If you are between two sizes, call us. Going one size up usually costs less than ordering a second container.

What your price covers
You get one flat number before you book. It covers delivery, pickup, the rental period, and disposal up to the weight included with your size.
Two things can add to it, and we tell you both up front. If your load goes over the included weight, the extra is billed per ton at the rate shown in the table above. If you keep the container past your rental period, each additional day is $10. That is it. No fuel surcharge that shows up later, no "environmental fee" line you never agreed to.

What can go in the dumpster
Most of what comes out of a house or a job site is fine: furniture, mattresses, carpet, cabinets, drywall, lumber, flooring, fixtures, general household junk, yard waste, roofing, siding, televisions and other electronics, and most appliances.
Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners contain refrigerant, and the rules for them depend on the city, so call us before loading one. Concrete, brick, dirt, and asphalt are a different case: they hit the weight limit long before a normal container looks full, so they go in our dedicated 15 yard heavy debris dumpster at a flat price. Call us to order it.

How renting a dumpster from us works
Clear a spot.
You do not have to be home for delivery. Move cars out of the way and make sure nothing is hanging low over the spot, like tree limbs or wires.
Fill it.
Load at your own pace during the rental period. Keep everything below the top rail so the driver can cover and haul it.
Call for pickup.
We do not pick up automatically. Let us know on or before your last rental day and we come get it. Each extra day after that is $10.

Where the dumpster can go
A driveway is the easiest place, and on private property you do not need a permit from Montgomery County. We set the container on boards when the surface calls for it, and our drivers are careful, but a loaded dumpster is heavy. Driveways that are already cracked, along with gravel, dirt, and grass, can show marks.
If the container has to sit on the street, the rules depend on who owns the road. On a county road, Montgomery County's Department of Permitting Services requires a dumpster permit for anything placed in the public right-of-way. The county says these typically take one to two weeks to issue, so plan ahead. Rockville, Gaithersburg, Kensington, and other incorporated towns issue their own permits, and state highways go through the state. HOAs and condo associations have their own rules on top of all that.
Permits are the customer's responsibility, but we are happy to tell you what we have seen work on your street.

How fast can you deliver?
Order before noon and same-day delivery is usually possible. Otherwise, plan on next day. We deliver Monday through Saturday.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster?
Not if it sits on your own driveway or lot. If it goes on a public street, you most likely do. Montgomery County requires a permit for dumpsters in the county right-of-way, and cities such as Rockville and Gaithersburg have their own.
What size dumpster do I need for a kitchen remodel?
Most kitchen remodels fit in a 15 or 20 yard. If you are also pulling out flooring in nearby rooms or taking down a wall, go with the 20.
Do you pick up the dumpster automatically?
No. Call or message us on or before the last day of your rental and we will schedule the pickup. If we do not hear from you, the container stays and each extra day is billed at $10.
